Mistaken Eid Rumors
Baseless rumors were spread that Saudi officials have apologized to the
Muslim nations for mistaken Eid announcement, that they have promised to
pay 1 billion Riyals as atonement for the missed day of fasting and
that they have recognized that sighted planet was Saturn rather that the
Moon. Mufti of Saudi Arabia has denounced all these rumors and
authenticated their Eid al-Fitr decision as religiously valid. Eid on
Tuesday August 30th was valid.
